Recruitment/Posting Title Coad-nonteaching -Research Department SEBS-Eco,Evol& Natrl Resources Salary Open Posting Summary We are looking to fill a specialist position to run the logistics of a large USDA-funded field research project on forestry and native bee species at research sites in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. In the off-season, the specialist will work in the Winfree lab at Rutgers University to identify the collected bee specimens and process DNA samples from pollen for barcoding identification. The position is full-time with flexible hours but requires highly specialized research skills and willingness to work at remote field sites for part of the year. The selected individual will 1) develop experimental design of field research, including bee monitoring techniques and logistics, 2) coordinate with public and private landowners where research takes place, including submission of research permits, and 3) process molecular data from pollen samples and identify bee species.  Competitive applicants will have substantial experience organizing and running large-scale field experiments as well as high-level skills in bee species identification and knowledge of next generation sequencing techniques.  Position Status Full Time Posting Number 23FA0807 Posting Open Date Posting Close Date
