About the Role
Under the management of the Site Supply Planning Manager, the Cocoa Production Scheduler will be responsible for developing the production plan for a horizon of 7 weeks for the liquor production line in Wieze. The cocoa production scheduler will work closely with the OPR supply planner as well as the operations department to adjust the schedule/plan to the latest production status. Additionally, the Cocoa Production Scheduler will participate in key initiatives and projects to support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Include
Responsible for determining demand in cocoa beans and nibs for week 0 to 7 based on the latest Choco plan and the latest stock information Responsible for placing, following up, and handling purchase orders with our suppliers (external and internal) for beans, nibs, and mass. Responsible for managing the stock at internal and external warehouses (port of Antwerp, Hamburg) concerning beans and nibs in order to guarantee sufficient availability as cost-efficient as possible (lowest possible stocks and the right stock) Responsible for communicating this plan/schedule with the factory Prepare tank planning for the scheduling horizon to ensure the right availability for the chocolate production lines Member of the "Bean Blend Committee" together with the regional QA lead cocoa, sourcing manager cocoa et al. where monthly the strategy around our gourmet mass and other liquors are reviewed, and a new joint optimum is determined between supply supply chain, quality, availability of beans, R&D needs, legal needs, etc. Performing root cause analysis in line stoppages, unanticipated cost impacts, and other situations.
About you
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business or Engineering APIC or related supply chain certification Fluent in English and in one of the local languages 2 to 3 years experience in supply planning Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices, specifically the integrated supply planning process. Good understanding of the other supply planning processes focused on distribution requirements planning, raw materials planning, and scheduling Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly Previous experience with SAP, OMP, and Business Objects Process Oriented
