Our client, in Middlebury VT is seeking a coffee roaster to join their team. As a coffee roaster you will need to be up early to ensure that product is ready for grinding and packaging, be dependable and prepared to complete tasks to keep production running smoothly. **Job Title: Machine Operator - Coffee Roaster** **Location: Middlebury VT** **Pay Range: 21.50 an hour** **Hours: Mon-Fri 4am - 1230pm** **What’s the Job?** JOB OBJECTIVE To consistently roast each batch of coffee following the proper roast profiles while maintaining strict control of all quality standards and procedures. JOB SUMMARY Roast our portfolio of coffee blends in accordance with company standard operating procedures while maintaining cleanliness of the work area throughout the day. While roasting, maintaining accurate and timely documentation for production inventory, and ensure daily production logs are accurate. The essential qualities of a roaster include, but are not limited to, attention to detail, focus, organized, calm under pressure, team player, and the ability to follow instructions and sequence accurately, while demonstrating commitment to all preventative maintenance and cleaning procedures. EXPECTATIONS · A minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience · Experience operating industrial equipment · Must have legible handwriting and be proficient in basic math functions, MS Office literate · Must be comfortable in a physically demanding environment and be able to lift, push or pull, up to 70 pounds, stand for several hours at a time, and handle unloaded or loaded material transfer carts · Able to bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist, push, pull and perform repetitive motions · Successfully follow all company safety policies and procedures The Middlebury facility is sensory sensitive; and does not allow any fragrance to be worn by the employees while at work, nor are we able to hire people who smoke.
