Cogito Analyst Senior -Analytics Center of Excellence - Days Location: WellSpan Health, York, PA Schedule: Full Time Full Time (80 hours/biweekly) Shift: Days General Summary Responsible for leading the triage, creation, troubleshooting, security, distribution, and support of Analytic Reporting using the native Epic reporting tools. Working within WellSpan's Analytics Center of Excellence, this position will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver robust insights, analysis, and analytical reporting to support ongoing problem solving while leveraging Cogito functionality. The position will be a lead and mentor to team members and will serve as a team representative to support the Analytics Center of Excellence data and analytics strategies. Essential Functions: + Strong ability to configure and tests Epic-released and Foundation System content for all applications, including but not limited to Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer data models, Radar Dashboards, Epic Metrics framework, SQL-based reports and Epic Registry Framework. + Collaborates with subject matter experts to understands and documents the needs of data consumers. Determines most appropriate reporting tool for new data needs and ensure solutions developed in a way to support strategic analytic foundational build. + Strong ability to create, test and deliver SQL-based and non-SQL based solution + Strong ability to create analytic content to display Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle leveraging Cogito Tools + Modifies existing reports, as necessary + Distributes analytics content to data consumers + Reviews peer reports for validity + Maintains the Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records. Contributes to the development of standards for organization to follow + Contributes to the development and maintenance of standards and policies related to Cogito Administration and security including but not limited to: Designing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-wide Reporting Workbench, Radar and SlicerDicer security policy; Managing Reporting Workbench templates and creating or authorizing the creation of any new templates; racking Reporting Workbench template build; Coordinating technical implementation of overall data segregation strategy + Tests analytics build in a specified testing environment and volume testing in live environments + Collaborates with Principle to lead the reviews of upgrade documentation related to Cogito features and provides feedback on how to implement, disseminate, and train the changes. Participates in testing/training of upgrades as applicable to established reports and dashboards developed + Supports Cogito Database Administration by participating in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources, understand performance metrics, ability to monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, participates in change control processes for all planned application and technical activities, and collaborates with technical teams and Epic to ensure proactive support + Works with Principal Cogito Analyst to develop and educate Cogito Analysts in areas of Cogito Development + Lead and mentor other team members and serve as a team representative for enhancing Analytics Center of Excellence data and analytics strategy, processes, technical architecture, and design of subject areas. Included but not limited to contributing to the development of standard processes and best practices for the Analytics Center of Excellence, Knowledge-sharing with peers and assist in setting direction for team members + Participates in Agile Framework + Prioritizes well, shows energy, reacts to opportunities, instills urgency in others and meets deadlines. Qualifications Minimum Education: + High School Diploma or GED Required + Masters Degree in engineering, physics, computer sciences, math, information systems, or healthcare administration Preferred Work Experience: + 8 years Epic Application Build or Reporting; Required and + experience writing analytical reports with Clarity and Caboodle; Required and + Healthcare, Analytics, Information Systems experience Required Licenses: + Certified in Epic Upon Hire Required Courses and Training: + Certified in Cogito Fundamentals, Cogito Tools Administration, multiple Epic Data Model, Cogito SQL, SQL Metrics, SlicerDicer Custom Filters Upon Hire Required + Trained in Epic application fundamentals for area of responsibility, and Familiarity with content available for the applications they are working with Upon Hire Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Critical thinking and an analytical mind + Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills + Strong Leadership skills.
