As a Cognos Analytics and Cognos 10.2.2. developer on our team you will participate in the migration of 10.2.2. to Analytics, Development of Framework Manager Models, reports, cubes, dashboards and the design and implementation of overall BI solutions.
Duties:Develop Cognos packages using Cognos Modeling tool/Framework Manager, including specific packages optimized for use by the business users using Query StudioDevelop Cognos content, specifically Reports in Report Studio, Cognos Cubes using Transformer, Events in Event Studio. (Dashboard experience a plus)Work on the redesign of current Cognos user InterfaceWrite technical specifications for Cognos report, cubes, Framework Manager packagesImplement Cognos migration from 10.2.2. to Cognos Analytics EnvironmentKnowledge of all Cognos Analytics components installation and operational maintenanceExtensive knowledge of Data Modules, Data sets using Cognos AnalyticsMandatory experience in all Cognos Analytics Components Development and DashboardsThe candidate will work closely with the business analyst or the end user to define and redefine the requirementsAssist business users in developing/executing complex queries/reports using Analysis studio, Query studioAssistance in the maintenance operations of large Cognos installationImprove the performance of Cognos by managing cube sizeRequired Qualifications:Experience in development of Framework Manager Models and Query packagesDeveloping complex dashboards, Reports, and Cubes using Report Studio and TransformerExtensive experience working with Cognos Query Studio, PowerPlay Studio and Event StudioThorough knowledge of Cognos portal functionalityExtensive knowledge in Oracle, SQL Server SQL writing skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Medicaid or health care data would be beneficialCognos Administration and User Security Implementation experienceExperience with TOADSold grasp of the requirements gathering processCognos installation and configuration on Multi server Distributed EnvironmentKnowledge of Reports and Cube scheduling operationsAbility to function independently with minimal supervision.
