Basic Job Functions:

The role of the CGL2\CM2 mechanic will be to ensure the safety for themselves and teammates above all other considerations. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, managing all mechanical work on Nucor Steel Arkansas Specialty Cold (CGL2\CM2). A major emphasis will be on supporting the CM2\CGL2 teams, making safety improvements, troubleshooting equipment, performing predictive and preventive maintenance, and making repairs to insure equipment reliability.  

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience or 2 years of industrial manufacturing experience Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends and/or holidays Preferred Qualifications: Safety involvement Technical degree in engineering field or equivalent experience
