This job is posted as HYBRID, and requires up to 3 days a week from our Dearborn, MI office. The Collaboration Telephony Manager is responsible for all of Ford telephony. This covers technology from softphones for corporate knowledge workers to analog lines used in fire safety systems in manufacturing facilities. The telephony manager will be responsible for transforming the existing legacy telephony infrastructure to a modern cloud based strategy. The corporate telephony system is a large scale, networking focused client-server application. As such, having a background in both peer-to-peer software/database systems as well as more traditional client-server systems is required. In addition, Telephony is a very network-focused application, so having a solid understanding of IP networking is also preferred. The telephony system relies on external telecom suppliers for both main system connectivity, in additional to analog telephone circuits used heavily in plants for emergency phones. A deep understanding of these system is required. An understanding of standard budget and procurement processes and systems is also required as the position manages the lifecycle of the various telephony related purchase orders. The job also includes responding to the security team for published vulnerabilities and defines and executes action plans to mitigate risk if necessary. + Bachelors or High School & Equivalent Work Experience + 7+ years technical experience required + Client/Server application background + Server/Server application background (e.g.- database) + IP Network application background (including routing, switching, DNS, etc.) + Ford Network Design/Architecture + Security/vulnerability background + Cloud Telephony (including migrations from traditional telephony) + Finances (budgets, forecasts) + Purchasing (PO, Invoicing) experience. + PO management and annual renewals + Product Lifecycle Management ( Tracking software and hardware life cycles) + 2+ years as people leader preferred,(but not required).
