The Director of Collateral will be responsible for oversight of the pool recertification of agency portfolio acquisitions, early buyout of pooled loans, collateral management, custodial and investor relations. The business lines provide client support related to pool maintenance, file location, reporting and preserving security interests. Work directly with internal and external clients. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations. The target pay range for this position is $110,000-$120, 000 Annual + Annual Bonus.
**What you'll do:**
+ Lead the hiring, training, and development of employees to build a high-performing team. Ensure that all management responsibilities, including workforce planning, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution, are conducted in strict adherence to company, state, and federal guidelines. Continuously assess and enhance training processes to foster a culture of compliance and accountability.
+ Oversee all aspects of loan pool re-certifications, buyouts, and collateral movement, ensuring full compliance with GSE standards. Implement process monitoring mechanisms to achieve and maintain high service levels, proactively identifying areas for improvement to optimize operational efficiency.
+ Facilitate the management of the GSE pooled acquisition portfolio and investor sale transactions for non-pooled assets. Lead due diligence efforts by establishing clear procedures and performance metrics to ensure timely and accurate completion of all transactions.
+ Direct the tracking and management of custodial execution for Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac pool re-certifications. Develop and implement a robust monitoring system to identify gaps and solutions.
+ Supervise the team responsible for addressing collateral document defects as identified by custodians. Ensure that processes for correcting issues related to missing, incorrect, or unrecorded documents are efficient and effective, driving continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, service, and productivity.
+ Lead the resolution of complex collateral-related issues, ensuring that all necessary documentation is corrected and compliant. Foster a proactive approach within the team to anticipate potential challenges and develop solutions before they impact operations.
+ Provide comprehensive monthly reports to senior management on MSR collateral processes, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for process enhancement. Use insights from these reports to drive strategic decisions and process improvements.
+ Interpret and disseminate updates from GSE outlets to ensure ongoing compliance. Establish effective communication channels to keep all stakeholders informed of regulatory changes and required actions.
+ Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external clients and agents. Proactively seek feedback to refine processes and ensure client needs are consistently met, driving a customer-centric approach across the departments.
+ Champion technology initiatives across departmental functions, collaborating with Business Development and IT teams to create impactful reports and provide necessary technology support. Monitor the effectiveness of these initiatives and continuously seek opportunities for technological advancements.
+ Oversee the monthly client invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage annual portfolio audits for GSE compliance, implementing improvements based on audit findings to enhance operational integrity.
+ Ensure adherence to service standards, policies, and procedures, while actively monitoring client satisfaction. Implement departmental strategies to address any areas of concern and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
+ Direct administrative operations, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability within the team. Lead change initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and support organizational goals.
**What you'll need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study or equivalent work experience.
+ Eight (8) year’s collateral related activities experience in the Credit, Banking or Mortgage Servicing industry.
+ A minimum of two years prior management experience.
+ Must have knowledge and experience of the intricacies of collateral files and clearing of collateral files.
+ Experience and knowledge of GNMA, FNMA, & FHLMC certification and recertification processes
+ Required to utilize the following programs: Fiserv, LPS Desktop, County Websites, and others.
