Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an experienced Collections Clerk in Ventura, California, United States. In this role, your primary function will be to manage and maintain accounts receivable, handle customer communication related to billing issues, and perform daily financial operations such as cash deposits and credit card payment postings. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications • Maintain and update customer credit records regularly • Handle the daily depositing of cash to the bank and posting of credit card payments • Effectively communicate with clients to address any questions, issues, or concerns related to billing and payments • Carry out the collection process and maintain the accounts receivable aging • Manage the posting and printing of daily invoices for new customer sales and monthly invoices for ongoing billing • Ensure all customer payments, including cash, checks, and credit cards, are posted and deposited accurately • Perform other related duties as required, adhering to established project guidelines. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. • Must have experience in answering inbound calls. • Familiarity with collection processes is necessary. • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. • Strong negotiation skills to resolve payment issues. • Knowledge of relevant legal requirements. • Experience with data entry and administrative duties. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. • Proficient in using financial software and office productivity tools.
