The Collections Manager oversees the collections process to ensure timely and efficient recovery of outstanding accounts receivable for Monte Nido. This role manages a team of collections specialists, collaborates with internal departments and external payors, and implements strategies to optimize cash flow while maintaining a patient-centered approach. Responsibilities Include: Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor collections staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Monitor team performance and establish metrics for efficiency and effectiveness. Collections Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the collections process, including payor follow-ups, appeals, and patient payment plans. Review and prioritize aging accounts to minimize outstanding receivables and improve cash collections. Resolve complex billing and payment issues, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external payors. Payor and Patient Coordination: Collaborate with insurance companies, patients, and guarantors to resolve disputes and secure payments. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding collections and billing practices. Process Improvement: Analyze collections data to identify trends and implement strategies for process improvements. Develop and update policies and procedures to optimize collections workflows. Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present regular reports on collections performance, key metrics, and outstanding balances to leadership. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements in all collections activities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in healthcare collections, revenue cycle management, or a related field. Previous leadership experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in healthcare billing systems, insurance verification, and denial management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Experience with behavioral health or eating disorder treatment services. Knowledge of Monte Nido’s programs and payor landscape. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) and practice management software. #montenido #LI-REMOTE
