Description We are offering a contract for a Collections Specialist position in Santa Fe Springs, California. The role primarily involves managing customer accounts in a commercial setting, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of credit applications, and resolving any account-related issues. Responsibilities: • Oversee a large portfolio of active accounts, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date • Execute collection calls to customers, maintaining professionalism and tact • Process customer deductions and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy • Solve account discrepancies promptly and effectively • Maintain a comprehensive and accurate record of customer credit information • Monitor customer accounts regularly and take appropriate actions based on the account status • Ensure all customer inquiries are resolved in a timely manner, providing outstanding customer service • Keep track of all account-related information and updates, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Requirements • Applicant must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of commercial collections. • Proficiency in commercial collections is essential for this role. • Candidate must exhibit strong negotiation and persuasion skills. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion is necessary. • Familiarity with collections software and databases is expected. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. • The candidate should demonstrate problem-solving capabilities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail is expected. • The candidate should have excellent organizational and multitasking skills. • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure is necessary.
