Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the manufacturing industry, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Collections Specialist, you will be playing a crucial role in managing our accounts receivable portfolio, maintaining a positive relationship with customers, and ensuring the timely collection of payments. You will also actively collaborate with various internal teams to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies, while ensuring all activities comply with company policies and industry regulations. Responsibilities • Ensure efficient management of the company's accounts receivable portfolio, including the issuance of invoices and collection of overdue payments. • Establish and maintain positive customer relationships through diligent account management. • Provide comprehensive customer communication, including responding to inquiries through phone, email, and written correspondence. • Work closely with internal teams, such as sales and customer care, to resolve any billing or payment disputes. • Prepare and present regular reports on account status, collection activities, cash flow forecasts, and aging balances. • Document all collection efforts accurately using the company's accounting software systems. • Ensure all collection activities adhere to company policies and regulatory standards within the manufacturing industry. • Utilize accounting software systems such as SAP for efficient management of accounts receivable and collection processes. • Operate in accordance with all financial practices and applicable regulations in the medical device sector. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. • Must have experience with Accounts Receivable (AR). • Proficient understanding of Billing Functions is required. • Demonstrates expertise in Collection Processes. • Knowledge of SAP is a must-have.
