Description We are offering a contract for a Collections Specialist role in the Financial Services industry, based in Livonia, Michigan. This role will predominantly involve administrative and clerical tasks related to asset recovery coordination. Responsibilities • Oversee the resolution of customer inquiries and disputes related to their credit accounts • Administer claims related to customer accounts and collections • Efficiently process customer credit applications and related documentation • Utilize Microsoft software and other relevant platforms to perform tasks • Maintain and update customer credit records with utmost accuracy • Familiarize oneself with loan processes and financial institution protocols • Handle collections processes and accounts receivable functions • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on their status. Requirements • Proven experience in the Financial Services industry is essential. • Must hold a strong understanding of Collection Processes and Claim Administration. • Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. • Demonstrated skills in Collections are necessary. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are imperative. • An ability to work under pressure and meet targets is necessary. • Familiarity with laws related to debt collection (FDCPA) is desirable. • Proficiency in using computer software and databases to manage a large volume of information. • High level of integrity and trustworthiness is required. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities. • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial.
