Collections Specialist

Description:

Reporting to the Order to Cash Manager, the Credit Controller will maintain the master data for a subset of our customer base ensuring invoices are sent timely and accurately. The Credit Controller will be focused on liaising with our clients to ensure they are able to timely remit payment on all outstanding invoices.

Essential Responsibilities:

\tDebt collection, maintaining receivables at a minimum of 95% within 90 days or less

\tMonitor application of the daily, weekly, and monthly processes to ensure all Credit Controllers are performing best practices within the organization

\tAssists with month end reports/reconciliations of the entire portfolio to include bad debt provisions and process level write ups.

\tAssist the Order to Cash Manager in hands-on training for the team to ensure consistent application on processes and procedures

\tMaintain notes and procedures for SAP research

\tFacilitate the payment of customer debt through positive customer service

\tSupport the finance team, assisting with any ad-hoc projects

\tTimeliness of tasks, reports and projects

\tAccuracy of information and projects completed

\tPersuasive and tactfully able to speak with clients regarding debt

\tAbility to collect money (tenacious-good follow through)

\tLevel of BSI/Product knowledge

\tMaintain an understanding of all ISO 9000 certifications according to BSI’s regulatory affairs quality policy manual

\tSoftware Skills - MS Office, Excel, SAP and email

\tAbility to analyze business information and communicate effectively to the Finance Department, and the broader organization

\tExcellent communication skills

Knowledge:

\tKnowledge of credit controls - Credit and Collections Acts, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, etc.

\tKnowledge of general accounting procedures

\tKnowledge of relevant computer applications

\tProficient in data entry and management

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $31.25/hr.
