This Collections Specialist position in the Akron, Ohio region is a long-term contract opportunity. What you get to do every day: - Maintain and update customer files to ensure data integrity - Yield to all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations - Direct all billing and reporting activities in accordance to deadlines - Log all customer payments to the correct reports - Control inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence - Ensure payments are processed - Act as liaison in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries - Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment - Ensure bankruptcy filings are processed in the correct manner when received Requirements - Prior experience using accounting software - 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to survey and make decisions regarding customer accounts - AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred - Background working with account analysis - General familiarity with negotiation - Earlier work involving bankruptcy - Previous experience working with Maintain Files - Payment Processing experience - Practical knowledge of Delinquencies - Phone Presenc experience - About Time experience preferred - Customer service experience - Prior experience with Legal Action - Experience with Skip Tracing - Knowledge of training - Proficiency experience highly preferred - Foreclosure experience highly valued - Good understanding of Drive Continuous Improvement - QA Management experience preferred - Hands-on experience with Repossession - Demonstrated knowledge of Call Center Customer Service - Comprehension of Keyboard Skills - Adeptness in Collection Processes Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
