Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the financial services industry. The position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing customer relations, overseeing customer accounts, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
• Implement effective telephone collection activities to reduce delinquent debt.
• Accurately manage and update customer credit records.
• Process credit loan applications with precision and efficiency.
• Adhere to all company policies as well as State and Federal lending regulations, particularly in relation to title recording and report maintenance.
• Develop, maintain and enhance customer relations, both in person and over the phone.
• Accurately post payments and fees to customer accounts in line with Company Policy.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools to effectively perform data entry of loan application and relevant documents.
• Execute customer solicitations at counter and by telephone to increase account volume.
• Sign checks for loans, branch expenses, and money remittances as necessary.
• Close loans under the direction of the Manager. Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft software, including Word, PowerPoint and particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in the financial services industry.
• Extensive knowledge of debt collection practices and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to perform keyword research and utilize results in decision making.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• High ethical standards and professionalism in all business dealings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or a related field preferred.
