Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Collections Specialist / Accounts Receivable (AR) for our local clients ongoing needs in the area on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring timely and accurate customer payments while maintaining positive client relationships. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. • Create and submit invoices to customers in accordance with company practices. • Draft correspondence for past-due accounts and collections, identifying delinquent accounts, and contacting accountholders via phone and email to request timely payment on open invoices. • Assist customers with disputes, inquiries, and questions related to payment history. • Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts in collaboration with other team members. • Generate recurring reports on the status of unpaid accounts and repayment progress. • Collaborate with the team to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis. • Maintain and update customer files, including changes to names, addresses, mergers, and mailing attentions. • Assist Account Managers in reconciling revenue accounts each month. • Relay changes in customer information to the appropriate internal employees. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Previous experience in accounts receivable and/or collections. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers professionally via phone and email. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage customer records and reports accurately. • Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheets. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
