Collections Supervisor
**Position Overview** The Collections Supervisor leads the collections function for the company to maximize cash flow and minimize bad debt risk, including partnering with customers and internal departments and proactive management of high-risk accounts, maximize cash flow, and minimize Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). **Job Description** + Oversee the research and resolution of non or short payment, including review and approval as required per threshold guidelines as necessary, and help team members to resolve when escalation is required. + Develop and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting for leadership. + Monitor high-risk accounts and ensure any financial exposure is escalated to senior leadership proactively. + Ensure the team carries out the process of review, appraisal, and analysis of account activity and payment history, review analysis, and recommendations, including Identification of continued non-compliance with payment terms and recommendation of further investigation by the credit team. + Oversee/review the preparation of monthly/quarterly/bi-annual/annual plans to reduce/minimize delinquency, including partnering with sales and contract compliance teams to ensure payment expectations are fully aligned. + Partner with customers and sales team to proactively identify collections risks and opportunities and develop action plans to prevent delinquency and optimize the resolution of outstanding issues. + Ensure the collections team is adhering to credit hold restrictions to minimize bad debt exposure. + Review, recommend/execute resolution to uncollectible delinquent accounts. Ensure all resolution efforts are taken before assigning bad credit status to accounts, reconcile and adjust entries to bad debt accounts, and manage the process and the relationship with outside collection agencies. + Recruit, develop, and manage a team of employees, including identification of annual objectives and performance assessment; provide day-to-day training and other development opportunities consistent with objectives. + Collect and provide requested documentation, information, or reports as required for external audits. + Identifies and recommends improvements to collections processes, procedures, and initiatives to reduce delinquency to leadership. + Ensure all collections procedures are documented and adhered to. + Travel Required:No **Environment** + Office : Office Temperature (65F to 75F) + Hybrid Schedule **Skills** + Specialized Knowledge : Solid understanding key accounting principles.
