Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Collector in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. This role primarily involves managing overdue customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and communicating effectively to recover outstanding balances. The position is within a fast-paced environment and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving while adhering to federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, or mail to discuss outstanding balances and negotiate payment arrangements based on their financial situations.
• Accurately document all interactions and payment agreements in the company's database.
• Monitor payment statuses and follow up with customers regarding missed payments.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while effectively communicating payment expectations and deadlines.
• Work collaboratively with other departments such as billing and sales to resolve customer inquiries and discrepancies.
• Identify and escalate accounts that require further action such as legal proceedings or account suspension.
• Stay informed about company policies, procedures, and regulations related to collections practices.
• Seek opportunities to continuously improve collection processes and procedures.
• Process customer payments and disconnect meters in an efficient, economical, and safe manner while being sensitive and flexible to customer needs.
• Develop a thorough understanding of all field collection functions. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service and Communication.
• Proven experience in Sales and understanding of Procedures related to the role.
• Ability to effectively process payments and manage databases.
• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing.
• Skills in Onboarding and Collection Processes.
• Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial duties as needed.
• Knowledge of relevant Regulations and ability to negotiate effectively.
• Understanding and application of best Practices in the field.
• Excellent Communication Skills and experience in Staffing.
• Ability to resolve Discrepancies and manage time efficiently.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and dealing with Suppliers.
• Understanding and adherence to Company Policy.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and overall Proficiency in the role.
• Ability to handle Commission Functions effectively.
• Strong Computer Skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
