Collector II
**Job Title: Collector II - $23.50/hour - 1 year contract** **Location:** King of Prussia **Summary:** We are looking for an experienced Collector II to join our8 client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for locating and notifying customers of delinquent accounts through various communication methods, including mail, telephone, and in-person visits. Your expertise will be key in soliciting payments, preparing reports for the credit department, and maintaining comprehensive records of all collection activities. **Key Responsibilities:** + Receive payments and accurately post amounts to customer accounts. + Locate and monitor overdue accounts to ensure timely resolutions. + Engage with customers by phone or in person to determine reasons for overdue payments and discuss the terms of sales, services, or credit contracts. + Persuade customers to pay amounts due on credit accounts, including damage claims or non-payable checks, and facilitate the return of merchandise when necessary. + Negotiate repayment arrangements or establish repayment schedules based on customers’ financial situations. + Prepare and submit reports to the credit department if necessary. **Skills:** + Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent customer service and negotiation abilities. + Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. + Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to document customer interactions accurately. + Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to collections. + Proficient in Microsoft Word and experienced with collections software. **Education/Experience:** + High school diploma or GED required. + 2-4 years of experience in collections, finance, or customer service preferred. **Pay Details:** $23.50 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
