Collector III
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Collector III in the service industry, based in Naperville, Illinois. This role involves locating and notifying customers of overdue accounts, soliciting payments, and maintaining comprehensive records of collections. Responsibilities • Locating and keeping track of overdue accounts • Engaging with customers, either in person or via telephone, to ascertain reasons for overdue payments and to discuss the terms of sales, services, or credit contracts • Encouraging customers to make payments on credit accounts, settle damage claims or non-payable checks, or to return merchandise • Setting up debt repayment plans or establishing repayment schedules based on customers' financial situations • Receiving payments and posting amounts paid to customer accounts • Accurately documenting and recording customer/client information • Applying exceptional debt recovery techniques • Adhering to federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to collections • Utilizing computer applications like Microsoft Word and other related collections software • Providing support and constructive performance feedback through basic mentoring skills. Requirements • Proficiency in Customer Service, demonstrating a strong commitment to meeting customer needs. • Proven Sales skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. • Knowledge of Procedures and best practices within the Service Industry. • Experience with Payment Processing systems and procedures. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other relevant software applications. • Ability to Review and analyze contracts and other legal documents. • Familiarity with the 'About Time' project management software. • Experience in Merchandising, demonstrating a keen understanding of market trends. • Proficiency in Check Processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Understanding of Collection Processes and best practices in debt recovery. • Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial analyses and reports. • Experience in Claim Administration, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy. • Understanding of Regulation within the Service Industry, ensuring compliance at all times. • Knowledge of Credit processes, including assessment and approval. • Negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes for the company. • Adherence to Company Policy, demonstrating commitment to organizational values and goals. • Experience managing Customer Accounts, including account setup, maintenance, and resolution of issues. • Ability to handle Delinquencies, with a focus on recovery and resolution. • Experience in Recovery processes, demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented approach. • Previous role as a Collector, demonstrating a strong understanding of the role and its requirements. • Excellent Written Communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively convey information. • Knowledge of Debt processes, including collection and recovery. • Ability to handle Overdrafts, ensuring timely and effective resolution. • 'A Plus' certification or similar, demonstrating ongoing detail-oriented development. The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
