What a College Intern - Process Tooling Product Development does at HP:

We are looking for intern-talents who can assist our current core team of engineers who will be developing & delivering products and solutions to HP's next generation of Thermal InkJet (TIJ) Print Technology, picking up learning in the process.Interns will be assigned mentors & will undertake engineering projects that will supplement development work of the core team of engineers.You will have the opportunity to work on tooling design, product design, process development, product quality development, writing systems, test & audit tools, reliability testing.

 

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

Bachelor undergraduate in Mechanical/Design Engineering with some experience in mechanical design, systems test, statistical analysis, analytical/experimental techniques.Ability to partner & work independently.Ability to apply engineering fundamentals & concepts.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Failure Analysis and characterization.Data Analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC).Design components/subsystems using CAD.Integrate new designs into existing processes.Ability to generate test plans, provide short-loop test methods and tools to allow risk assessment.Ability to work and interact effectively with team members from other disciplines, cultures, organizations.Teamwork and ability to collaborate and communicate ideas is highly valued.Growth mindset.Able to commit for a full-time internship starting in May 2025, for a period of 5-6 months.
