Specific to Area:

Perfect colour vision and reach a minimum standard of colour discrimination. Ability to describe and quantify a colour difference between two shades of the same colour.Ability to retain a working knowledge of the colour characteristics of solid colour basics across all product lines and be able to apply the knowledge in conjunction with instrumental colour matching techniques to achieve effective colour matches.Ability to judge when a target colour cannot be matched within the existing capabilities of a product line and agree on a course of action with a colour assessor.Ability to work competently and confidently unassisted outside the laboratory environment.Contribute to the assessment of new products and colour-matching techniques, working with personnel from research and development activities.
