Color Press Operator | $18-$25/hr. DOE

Full Time / M-F 8am-5pm

An established print shop is seeking an experienced, skilled, and detail-oriented 5-Color Press Operator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality prints in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in producing vibrant printed materials while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. Your expertise will contribute directly to the efficiency and success of our operations, ensuring that every print job meets or exceeds client expectations.

Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and maintain a 5-color printing press (Heidelberg). Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during production to ensure efficient operation. Monitor ink levels, color consistency, and print quality throughout the production process. Adjust press settings as needed to achieve optimal print quality. Inspect printed materials for defects or inconsistencies and take corrective actions. Collaborate with the production team to meet tight deadlines and customer specifications. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press to maintain peak performance. Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain accurate production records, including job setups, materials used, and machine malfunctions.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a 5-color press operator or in a similar role in the printing industry. Strong knowledge of printing presses and print production processes. Familiarity with color theory, registration, and quality control standards. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic machine maintenance. Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines. High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification in printing is a plus). Experience with specific 5-color presses (Heidelberg, Komori, etc. preferred). Knowledge of digital and offset printing techniques (preferred). Prior experience in a fast-paced commercial printing environment (preferred).
