Combat Animator, Project R.I.S.E


We are looking for a passionate and experienced Combat Animator to join our Shanghai Studio.

Your focus will be on making gameplay animations for one of our new projects. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience creating combat animations for action games, from initial concept to in-engine implementation.

As a Combat Animator at Supercell, you will work closely with game designers, game programmers and game artists to create memorable gameplay.

Responsibilities

Craft original key frame combat animations for 3D charactersImplement and validate animations in-game, resolve issues and bugs via quick iterationCollaborate with designers, artists and programmers to strike the right balance between gameplay responsiveness and animation fidelitySet the bar in animation quality, style and processSupport the development of the game with any additional skills

Requirements

Experience with combat animation systems; with demonstrable command of weight, timing, and posingAdvanced knowledge of animation software (e.g. Maya, Blender …)Hands-on experience with modern commercial game engines (Unreal Engine preferred) and their animation pipelines and workflowsUnderstanding of character rigging, basic modeling a plusExperience with stylized and key-framed animationExperience with facial rigging systems and animationsPassionate about (mobile) gamesProactive doer who takes responsibility and pride in their own work when given the freedom to work independentlyStrong cross-discipline communication skillsBeing a great teammate - we believe making games is a team sport
