Job Title: Combustion EngineerJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Combustion Engineer with a strong background in gas appliance design, testing, and combustion engineering. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and developing combustion systems and products, including appliances, grills, boilers, burners, and tankless equipment. This role involves working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure the successful implementation of product designs. Responsibilities + Design and develop combustion systems and products, ensuring compliance with combustion rules and regulations. + Plan, implement, and monitor full project development, including mechanical and manufacturing aspects. + Perform advanced engineering tasks with limited supervision. + Act as a lead mentor to the engineering design team, guiding projects from initial concept through successful completion. + Use and apply advanced engineering principles within the field of specialization. + Participate in Project Identification meetings with marketing and management to define project specifications and scope. + Develop systems and documentation to ensure products and services meet all contractual and program quality requirements. + Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status to the team and beyond. + Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. + 5+ years of related work experience in gas appliance design, testing, or combustion engineering. + Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical reports. + Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior management. + Computer proficiency, including CAE tools and MS Office. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience designing and engineering appliances, grills, boilers, burners, and tankless equipment. + Understanding of combustion systems and product development. + Experience working in similar industries such as Trane, Electrolux, Rheem. + Knowledge of heat transfer and project management. Work Environment The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, involving close interaction with both the engineering and manufacturing teams. The role requires proficiency with various computer-aided engineering tools and software. The position may involve occasional travel to meet with clients or attend industry conferences.
