Combustion Mechanical Engineer

Who are you?

The Combustion team, in Powertrain Engineering Curitiba, is looking for a new group member. Are you interested in mechanical component development? Then you might be who we are looking for.

We are seeking a motivated and qualified engineer who wants a challenging career opportunity as Mechanical Engineer.

 

Education, experience, knowledge:

Master of Science (equivalent to Engineering degree in Brazil - Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent). Good experience with quality tools (Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, etc.). Previous professional experience in the product development for the automotive industry.

 

It would be good if you have:

Experience in the development of engine combustion components (fuel injection or air/gas). Experience in the development of Diesel Powertrain systems and components. Experience with CAD tools (ex.: CREO). Experience in supplier relationship.

We plan our work according to the agile principles with good collaboration with other departments such as project management, verification & testing, quality & customer satisfaction, purchasing, manufacturing and suppliers.

 

You are encouraged to take tasks on your own, being a problem solver. We strive to have an open and honest environment within the team, where it is easy to ask each other for support when needed. The tasks can be either part of a short-term projects focusing on improving products currently in production or large and long-term ones, with the aim to prepare our products for the future.

 

Main activities

Design, documentation and knowledge management of fuel injection and air/gas components. Definition of technical specifications and set design requirements for the components; ensure that all requirements are captured, documented and balanced. Definition of verification and validation plans and evaluation of test and simulation results. Approval of applications for either newly developed or existing systems/components. Leadership over quality problem solving activities and assurance over internal and external customer satisfaction. Support of data analytics processes and tools, finding opportunities to have data driven decisions. This selection process will be conducted with the support of the consulting firm Apriori.
