As a Commercial Account Manager, you will interact with commercial clients, maintain professional business relationships with new and existing clients and insurers and manage an entire book of business. The Commercial Account Manager reviews and prepares the commercial client files, leads marketing efforts, and while evaluating and pricing the insured’s risk.

A day in the life -

Provide exceptional client care as primary client service contactRespond to client requests directly (or indirectly from the Senior Account Manager/Account Executive and/or Marketer), compiling information and submitting information to appropriate insurance companies and binding coverage where appropriateParticipate in formal account reviews; assisting in account rounding and working diligently to provide value-added services for clientsPrepare submissions in Policy Works and EPICPrepare proposals, cover notes, client correspondence, certificates, and invoices as per agency standardsAssist Account Teams with various administrative functionReview and prioritize all assigned tasks on a daily basis including, company mail, emails, abeyances/activitiesMaintain accuracy of electronic files that may be housed in EPIC, Policy Works, Certificate Exchange and physical files as per agency standardsManage the Marketing of accounts to include new, renewal, and midterm changesCollect data from the client, create an expert submission to be presented, negotiate suitable rates and coverages with company underwriters, present account executives with best programs, and bind coverage.Provide training and guidance to new Insurance Advisors on the teamOther responsibilities as needed

Salary Expectations –

The compensation for this position is a variable compensation structure, ie., base salary plus commission.  As such, the total compensation earned will vary depending on the successful candidate’s book of business at a particular time.  The expected base salary for this position is $60,000.00 to $75,000.00, plus commissions will be paid based on successful sales performance. The total compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
