Commercial Analyst

Job Description:

As a Commercial Analyst at Metroplex Energy your primary responsibility is to support the Commercial (Supply & Trading) Team’s initiatives through planning, analyzing, and reporting. You are pivotal in managing the implementation of new term agreements and providing useful fuel analytics to support better decision making within MXE. Your daily, weekly, monthly activities will consist of problem solving, resource optimization, project management and coordination to ensure the successful execution of commercial development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

· Assist Director of Commercial Development, Regional Supply Managers, Lead Traders & VP of Commercial

· Collaborates daily as Front Office representation with Back Office and Middle Office

· Creates and partners with internal Business Analytics team to create visual aids and reporting tools using Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Power Bi.

· Serves as first point of contact for communication and problem-solving terminal rack lifting activity.

· Assists in Contract Management, supporting efforts to document, review, summarize and notify business partners to ensure compliance.

· Manages supply source setups (new locations, offerings, pricing) internally and externally.

· Maintains and post audits terminal liftings, working closely with operations to ensure supply plan adherence.

· Collaborates with Accounting Department to review and resolve invoicing errors from vendors.

· Runs point on managing Metroplex-wide company subscriptions and expenditures.

· Conducts analysis using various pricing & freight mechanisms for both short- and long-term supply opportunities.

· Analyzes supply sources and arbitrages by reviewing logistical costs between storage terminals and upstream supply sources to optimize the supply mix.

· Analyzes new market, new product, and new store opportunities.

· Runs various RFP’s (request for proposal) throughout the year for supply.

· Manages supply source setups (new locations, offerings, pricing) internally and externally.

· Conducts analysis for various Business Development projects/opportunities.

· Maintains and post audits terminal liftings compared to supply plan.

· Leads and collaborates on commercial project

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.0-3 years of professional experience in finance, logistics, business, or a related field is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Power BI, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
