Commercial Analyst (Hudson Yards Experiences)
Responsibilities We’re seeking someone that shares our passion for transforming data into meaningful and actionable insights to join our Commercial Strategy team. This person will be responsible for leading reporting & analytics across Hudson Yards Experiences (HYE). The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with a natural curiosity and a passion for reporting and analysis. They will have a proven track record in capturing requirements, providing exploratory analysis and identifying actionable insights to drive a business forward. This person will be well-versed in data architecture and analysis and have direct experience in using data to inform optimizations, drive growth, and focus future efforts across the core commercial disciplines, including revenue management and optimization (demand forecasting, dynamic pricing, inventory management), sales (B2C and B2B), and marketing (web, email, social and digital media campaign) and operational analytics. Essential Functions: Requirement Gathering & Building: Run requirement gathering workshops to determine KPI goals. Create requirements documents and design concepts Build / oversee the building and ongoing development of relevant analytical and operational reports and dashboards Support the continuous improvement of reporting processes and infrastructure Provide end-user support & training for global reporting needs Ensure data quality Reporting & Analysis: Lead reporting and analytics for HYE’s Commercial division. Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports Establish ongoing reporting schedule to meet business needs and enable effective performance management and decision making Communicate data analysis and performance metrics that bring forth clear insights, takeaways, and recommendations. Business Optimization: Execute ad hoc / proactive analysis for Commercial and Operations Leadership team (and other key stakeholders) within HYE, identifying trends, measuring effectiveness of sales, marketing, and operational activities. Deliver digital and channel insights utilizing a variety of third-party data sources and internal data to support sales and marketing teams identify opportunities and develop strategies to improve performance. Leverage quantitative and qualitative research to provide guidance, thought leadership and education to cross-functional partners and counterparts Compose well-written, concise findings in support of reports and effectively present results to the team. Create visual elements that are logical, understandable and appropriate for the topic; Ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, relevant and reliable Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 / year Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a quantitative field (math, statistics, computer science, data science, data engineering, business analytics) or equivalent experience. 3+ years in Business Analytics / Business Intelligence roles supporting Sales, Marketing, or Revenue Management teams. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources for actionable insights. Skilled in facilitating requirement gathering sessions and design reviews. Proficient in creating reports and dashboards; passionate about data storytelling. Experience with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Familiarity with data warehouses and experience using SQL, R, and/or Python for data transformation and analysis. Advanced knowledge of Excel for data manipulation and presentation. Experience working with data from Salesforce/CRMs and digital platforms/eCommerce technologies. Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). Strong understanding of sales and marketing concepts. Understanding of CRM and lifecycle marketing, experience analyzing eCommerce and marketing KPIs. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, comfortable navigating complex organizations and managing cross-functional teams. Self-motivated and curious, able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while adapting to new skills and technologies.
