Commercial Assistant Project Manager

We have a Direct Hire open for a Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager. 

Location – Metro MD/DC area

Looking for a specialty contractor that works in the commercial and residential construction industry. We are experts in insulation, spray foam, air barriers, roofing, rain screens, specialty claddings and facades. We are family owned and operated and have been for four generations. The responsibilities and requirements for the position of Assistant Project Manager are not limited to what's below:
Responsibilities Assist the project team with all preconstruction submittals. Help with the organization, ordering and delivery of materials on multiple commercial construction projects Support with planning to successfully sequence work, manage jobsite logistics and track personnel Negotiate and execute contracts and ensure all proper safety, insurance and labor requirements are met with labor subcontractors Submit pay apps. from subcontractors on time and ensure prompt payments Possess working knowledge of the subcontracts and vendor agreements Participate in close-out activities including punch list Coordinate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to develop detailed project plans and schedules. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and implement effective strategies to resolve any concerns. Resource Management Effectively allocate resources, including manpower, equipment and materials, to ensure optimal project performance. Perform regular inspections of project sites to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Commercial Construction working directly with roofing and wall panels (metal panels, phenolic panels, fiber cement panels, etc.) Experience with directing or installing roofing and specialty cladding materials Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and details Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
