The Commercial Banking Account Specialist I is responsible for providing Business and Commercial Banking support and service to current and potential clients to meet their everyday banking needs. This includes cross-selling products and services as well as performing client service and treasury support.

Key Responsibilities:
·Opens and performs account maintenance on certificate of deposit, consumer and business accounts; assists with courtesy and collection calls, CIP Exceptions as needed; seeks assistance from more knowledgeable staff when necessary.
·Addresses client questions and concerns by phone and in person; files disputes or refers to appropriate internal resources for resolution as appropriate.
·Proactively seeks ways to develop and expand client relationships.
·Cross-sells banking products and services beneficial to client needs.
·Enhances client satisfaction and the professional reputation of the Bank by warmly greeting, engaging, and developing good professional relationships with clients and partners.

Competencies Required:
·Proficiency with 10 key touch, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint), and knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, banking software applications (Mozart, CashPlus and Bancline).
·Ability to work flexible or extended working hours to meet business needs; demonstrated good attendance and punctuality.
·Client service orientation with effective problem solving abilities.
·Outstanding listening and communications skills, both written and verbal.
·Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn banking and lending products, services, policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines.
·Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
·Self-motivated, goal oriented, team player with strong interpersonal skills and sales aptitude.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

·2 years in the banking or financial services industry in a sales support or customer service role required, OR a Bachelor's Degree in lieu of 2 years' work experience;

oOR a currently active member of Woodforest branch management with at least 1 year in the role (Assistant Branch Manager or above).

Formal Education Certification:
·High School Diploma or equivalent required.
·Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Work Status:
·Full-Time.

Supervisory Responsibility:
·None.

Travel:
·0% - Negligible amount of travel expected.

Working Conditions:
·Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
