About the Role
As a Commercial Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and reliable project estimates, budgets, and proposals. You will collaborate closely with project managers and pre-construction teams, contribute to strategic planning, and play a vital part in ensuring client expectations are exceeded. Key Responsibilities
• Develop conceptual estimates and accurate project budgets using historical data and market trends.
• Collaborate with project teams to establish budgets, schedules, and subcontractor scopes.
• Prepare bid packages, GMP proposals, and conduct constructability reviews.
• Perform value engineering and life cycle cost analysis to ensure cost efficiency and schedule adherence.
• Support design-build coordination, quality control, and project closeouts.
• Contribute to business development efforts through presentations and interviews.
Qualifications
• Experience: 3-10 years of estimating experience in the commercial construction industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Timberline, OST, MC2, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to assess historical cost data, market trends, and prepare detailed project budgets.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Work Ethic: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing time independently in a fast-paced environment.
