Description A biotechnology company is looking for a Clinical Contracts Attorney to provide legal support for its clinical development operations on a remote, long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have significant experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing various clinical and research-related contracts, including CRO agreements, confidentiality agreements, consultant agreements, master services agreements, work orders, clinical trial agreements, IITs, and various research and technical operations/CMC agreements. In this role you will play a key role in handling agreements with contract research organizations (CROs), consultants, investigators, and other stakeholders supporting phase 2/3 clinical trials. Responsibilities: + Manage clinical contracting activities, including triaging requests, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, tracking, and filing agreements. + Assist with outside counsel requests as needed. + Provide legal support to internal teams regarding contractual obligations and address legal and business-related inquiries. + Demonstrate a strong understanding of the technical differences between various contract types. + Identify and mitigate compliance and legal risks while supporting compliance initiatives. + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize the contract lifecycle process and improve operational efficiency. Requirements Qualifications: + Juris Doctorate (JD) and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. + 10+ years of experience working with contracts or in a contracting department. + Strong knowledge of the end-to-end contracting process and various contract types. + Minimum 5 years of experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry (global experience preferred). + Familiarity with contract management software and databases. + Proven ability to maintain detailed records of contracting activities. + Experience collaborating on cross-functional initiatives. + Demonstrated commitment to integrity, accountability, and transparency. + Maintain professionalism and build trusting relationships. + Strong initiative, attention to detail, and follow-through. + Ability to proactively solve problems and communicate clearly. + Maintain discretion with confidential information. + Adaptability in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across teams. + Must be flexible and adaptable to the needs of a dynamic organization.
