Job Description:
This job is responsible for performing risk assessment and repayment capacity analysis (i.e., financial, borrower, industry, etc.) and preparing transaction justification for moderately complex/complex transactions with limited oversight. Key responsibilities include documenting credit analysis, independently assessing historic and projected borrower financial information, evaluating adherence to policy and procedure, providing loan structure analysis and recommendations, and monitoring portfolio performance.

The For-Profit Healthcare Credit team is seeking an Underwriter II. This role will specifically support credit activity for the Commercial Banking Healthcare team in the Northeast Region, serving a broad ranges of clients with annual revenue ranging from $50MM to $2B as well as emerging growth pre-revenue companies.

Responsibilities:

Evaluates credit worthiness and provides analysis and decisioning on whether a client should receive a credit facilityPartners with Credit Officers, Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to assess and deliver credit solutionsMonitors the client's operating performance and financial condition, proactively identifying issues and opportunitiesDelivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analysis to team members to support the loan decision-making process Ensures adherence to credit policies, guidelines, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements

Required Skills:

3+ years of solid experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management, strong communication and analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring in Commercial BankingAnalytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, and modelingStrong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externallyExperience in financial analysis and portfolio management

Desired Skills:

BS/BA degree and 2-3 years of credit analyst experience preferredExperience in the healthcare sector preferred

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$81,600.00 - $155,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
