The Commercial Education Specialist (Sports) is responsible to implement the learning strategy and educational programs that support the commercial business objectives. He/She is responsible for supporting “new hire sales rep” training and certification, online learning platform strategy and implementation, and Challenger sales model design, implementation, and support. This will be achieved through strong sales/clinical/customer knowledge along with exceptional collaboration and teamwork with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Sales, external Faculty, and other education teams.
Key Responsibilities:Market and Industry Knowledge: Understand and apply market, industry, and competition to shape Sports Commercial Education strategy and content.Business Acumen: Understand and apply industry sales knowledge with the ability to collaborate with Marketing and Sales to ensure strategy to relevant sales model (Challenger) execution is followed.Training Facilitation: Lead and conduct learning in live, virtual, and self-guided formats aligned with our learning strategy.Training Design: Provide comprehensive digital, sales, and ongoing training content to the sales team focused on applicable sales model, soft tissue and capital equipment products, and supplementary appropriate learning capabilities.Communication: Proactively lead on-going learning communication and follow-up with field sales team, functional partners, and vendors to accurately assess, address, promote, and build on learning opportunities.Trend Awareness: Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices and use metrics and feedback to drive necessary changes in curriculum.Product and Sales Knowledge: Deep selling skills, soft-tissue and capital products, and market knowledge to shape and drive consistent / best-in-class end-to-end approach for Commercial EducationPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure process simplification: Create ongoing and sales learning process that is easy to understand, learn and use to increase organization engagement.Faculty engagement: Recruit, develop and engage with faculty in key/prioritizes specialties as appropriate.Customer Insights: Acquire and translate customer insights into adult ongoing learning offerings designed to address unmet needs.Program Design: Develop and execute prioritized programs that align to organizational needs.Technology: Understand and utilize existing and new technology to effectively integrate and reinforce key learning concepts throughout the learning continuum.Global collaboration: Support global regions as needed.Vendor Engagement: Oversee vendor engagements to ensure training meets Johnson Johnson’s expectations and initiatives.Skill Development: Develop individual skills to become more effective in training, developing people, coaching, communicating, and team building.Course Support: Support Sports Foundations, Advanced, Master and local, regional, and national programs as necessary.Industry Research Analysis: Recommend new approaches, techniques and ideas that will assist the sales representative in meeting and exceeding sales objectives.People Leadership (if available): Guide, coach, and lead direct report(s), fostering their professional development and enhancing team performance through effective mentorship and support.Johnson Johnson is currently seeking a Commercial Education Specialist to join our Sports EdTech team located in Raynham, MA.
