**Job Title: Commercial Electrician**
**Job Description**
Electricians install and repair electrical systems in construction applications and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. This position requires strict adherence to the National Electrical Code and the ability to read and interpret manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and equipment specifications. Electricians must properly use and maintain hand and power tools, as well as electrical and electronic test equipment. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to use basic electronic technology for entering time and safety reports.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble, install, and wire apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools.
+ Proficiently bend and run conduit/EMT.
+ Perform 90% of work from a 45-foot boom lift.
+ Read and interpret blueprints.
+ Install fuse boxes.
+ Use basic hand tools, with a cordless drill being a plus.
+ Ensure reliable transportation.
+ Work 5 days a week, 40 hours (7am - 3:30pm).
+ Work with conduit (EMT 3/4 - 2 inches), pulling wire, terminating, and working off prints.
**Essential Skills**
+ Electrical installation and repair.
+ Conduit bending.
+ Wiring.
+ Troubleshooting.
+ Installation of electrical systems.
+ Reading blueprints and schematic diagrams.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
+ 5+ years of commercial electrical experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
+ Experience with industrial manufacturing new construction.
+ Ability to complete work in accordance with electrical code, blueprints, manuals, or schematic diagrams.
+ Use of tools and test equipment as required.

**Work Environment**
Work is conducted outdoors in the elements on new construction sites, specifically at the IKO manufacturing facility. Contractors are required to wear PPE including a hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots. Contractors must also have their own hand and power tools. The work schedule is 5 days a week from 7am to 3:30pm.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
