Reporting to: Commercial and Process Engineering Leader
An excellent opportunity to be a part of our key business-Projects as a Commercial Engineer in our Inquiry to Order (ITO) team within VWTS. The candidate will act as a bid manager, managing both the technical and commercial aspects of a bid. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about solving customers' problems innovatively through the effective application of techno-commercial solutions. The candidate will lead the preparation of value-generating techno-commercial proposals for an extended scope of multi-process solutions in water and wastewater treatment by collaboratively working with multiple internal stakeholders such as Sales, Process, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Contracts, Project Management, Legal, and Taxation.
Role Objective
The objective of this assignment is to provide a development opportunity for the candidate to demonstrate capability in:
Lead and Coordinate all ES Projects related ITO activities
Successful and productive collaboration with the sales team in development of opportunities and hence drive business growth.
Establishing a strong internal network to enhance successful collaboration with all internal functions that are involved in a ES project all the way from ITO to OTR (Order to Remittance)
Essential Responsibilities entails:
Timely preparation of budgetary and final proposals.
Work with Process engineers to develop process designs bringing values to customers..
Generate/Coordinate Process & Instrumentation Diagrams and General Arrangement Drawings
Apply costing and process design strategies to position the company in the early stages of project development and to increase probability & success.
Adhering to all internal procedures related to bid preparation, proposal tracking, authorization of Order Packages and sales forecasting.
Support development and closure of key deals to maximize revenue generation
Support Sales teams to properly structure a deal and optimize profitability through a thorough understanding of the project life cycle costs and financing requirements where applicable
Support Sales teams to structure deals to combine equipment, services and specialty chemicals and clearly develop & communicate value propositions for each Projects offering
Support Sales teams in the continuous development and/or fine tuning of country specific business plans and market research.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, civil or environmental engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
Experience in costing / proposals for multi-process extended scope in water & wastewater treatment solutions. Relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering or equipment supply.
Knowledge of Filtration, Ion Exchange, Membrane Separation Technologies and Membrane Process Equipment and the experience in running RO / EDI projections, Filtration System dosing/chemical injection calculations
Exposure to Ultra Pure Water Production technologies in the Semiconductor manufacturing Industry will be of added advantage.
