Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Field Technician (Mobile Engineer) to join our team in Florence, SC. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in at least one trade (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations) and be proficient in others to ensure all systems operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire, life safety, and control systems to keep buildings operating at peak performance.

Travel between multiple facilities to ensure equipment functionality and maintenance compliance.

Maintain HVAC systems by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts for optimal performance.

Monitor and record system readings, making adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency.

Oversee facility services, inventory control, purchasing, and contracted maintenance operations.

Ensure safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with regulations.

Conduct periodic tool and instrument inventory checks to maintain operational readiness.

Monitor and evaluate the quality and cost of work performed by outside contractors.

Identify and mitigate safety hazards in the workplace, ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent

5-7 years of experience in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing

Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

EPA 608 Type II Certification (Required)

Valid Driver’s License (Required) for travel between facilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

EPA 608 Universal Certification

Trade school training in electrical systems, refrigeration, or HVAC

Pay Details: $43.88 per hour
