Azenta Life Sciences is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our growing and dynamic organization. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager for the Multiomics and Synthesis Solutions business known as GENEWIZ, this position will provide FP&A support to the U.S. Commercial organization. The analyst will work closely with the Sr. Director of North America Sales as well as other Commercial and Finance counterparts to provide timely and actionable information to drive growth and profitability of the business. In this strategic role, the analyst will develop, analyze, and distribute financial reports used in the day-to-day financial planning and analysis of the Commercial organization. The analyst will perform technical analysis to determine past, present, and future financial performance, offering insights and recommendations to the relevant stakeholders and leadership teams. This role will partner with business leaders to develop strategic plans and build business cases for new opportunities. This critical position within the Multiomics FP&A team holds key responsibilities include pacing and tracking of sales actuals and targets, driving Commercial Finance process improvements, partnering with Commercial, Commercial Operations, and Marketing teams in bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
What You’ll Do…
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in gathering, analyzing, and maintaining bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts by region and business segmentsProvide proactive monitoring & insights to performance against plansSupport monthly Commercial reviews and prepare materials for Finance, Operations, & Commercial LeadershipSupport annual and multi-year planning processes by creating templates and consolidating global inputsCollaborate with Commercial Operations on Sales Force reporting and commissions calculationsAnalyze, Forecast, & manage Commercial Operating expensesProvide various reporting and analyses including ad hoc reporting from Commercial and Marketing teams Drive development of meaningful reporting tools, and continuously enhance business systemsSupport various Corporate FP&A requirementsThis role will have the opportunity for development and learning by assisting with the following:
Annual planning process including the development of targets, timelines, templates and required deliverables and consolidation of the Annual Operating PlanPreparation of executive presentations, including monthly operating reviews and analysis used for Board updates and investor presentationsSupporting the development and maintenance of Commercial Finance cadences and reporting to drive strategic growthLeading data, process, and reporting improvement initiatives; collaborate with Technology to automate and simplifyDevelopment of Strategic pricing and key opportunity reporting alongside recommendations to business to implement in market strategiesBe a thought leader in tracking market trends and dynamics while having access to leading market intelligenceOpen ended ability to drive data driven decisions throughout all levels of the org through thoughtful analysis and presentationWhat you will Bring…
This position requires 4+ years of relevant experienceRequires a Bachelor’s degree in concentration in Business, Finance, Accounting or EconomicsRequires the ability to prioritize assignments and be self-directedRequires extensive Excel modeling experience and knowledge of accountingKnowledge of US GAAP preferredStrong preference for a candidate with knowledge of Tableau, Sales Force, Netsuite ERP systems and OneStream Financial systemsStrong process focus; Six Sigma and/or Lean trained; strong project management skillsOther success factors include demonstration of strong verbal/ written communications skills, attention to detail, and ability to analyze data to generate meaningful insightsWorking Conditions/ Schedule
