As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Glazier Superintendent to join our team in Destin, FL. Job Summary: The Glazier Superintendent will oversee and manage all field operations related to glass installation projects. This role involves supervising glazier crews, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety, and coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in glass installation, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities: Field Supervision: Oversee day-to-day field operations of glazier crews, ensuring efficient and high-quality work. Assign tasks and manage work schedules for glazier teams. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, provide guidance, and address any issues. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met. Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control standards to ensure all installations meet company and client specifications. Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle. Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly. Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for glazier crews. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop glazier team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed. Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to encourage continuous improvement. Resource Management: Manage inventory and procurement of materials and tools required for glass installation projects. Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of equipment and tools. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, and change orders. Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management. Ensure all project files are organized and accessible. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in glazing or construction management is preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in glass installation, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Extensive knowledge of glazing techniques, materials, and safety regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings. Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
