The main responsibilities of the Commercial Glass Estimator are to analyze and estimate labor, material time, customer requirements, manage all vendor bid pricings, attend bid meetings and walk throughs. The Commercial Glass Estimator will also work closely with sales and fabrication teams.

 

 Job Duties

Responsible for analyzing and estimating labor, material, time, and customer requirements Manage all vendor bid pricings, attend bid meetings, and walk throughs Work closely with sales and fabrication teams Submit bid documents accurately/timely and in according with client requirements Work collaboratively with our clients find solutions to their needs. Maintain detailed and accurate records of estimates, projects, pricing, price books, customer contact and change orders All other duties as assigned by Management.

 

Requirements

High School or equivalent (GED) At least 5 years of commercial glass estimating experience Ability to read and diagnose blueprints and shop drawings Thorough knowledge of building plans/architectural drawings, specifications, contract language as well as technical specifications and properties of glass Experience using estimating software Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Experience working with Storefront glazing systems, curtain walls, all glass entries, etc. Organizational skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment Excellent driving record as well as a valid driver's license
