Commercial HR Manager

Summary

We are recruiting for an HR Manager to support the Commercial and Corporate Groups, reporting to the VP of HR - Commercial.  This role is accountable to use extensive knowledge of HR principles and practices to partner with business leadership and respective client groups to help achieve the Company’s strategic goals. Independently executes and guides clients through core HR processes, drives initiatives that enhance workplace culture, and leverages data to deliver insights to the HR team and client groups.   

 

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Work closely with Human Resources VP and senior leadership to align Human Resources strategies with business goals. Independently executes and guides clients through core HR processes, and develops and executes HR initiatives to optimize business operations, enhance workplace culture, and boost employee engagement. Support and manage performance management, talent reviews and development actions, compensation planning, change initiatives, D&I, and organizational design within the organization. Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to support staffing of qualified candidates.  As needed, obtains qualified temporary staff for the Corporate office and/or respective client groups. Manage and resolve employee relations issues by conducting thorough and objective investigations and partnering with legal as needed. Lead and/or support projects (org design, career pathing, data/system changes, etc.) impacting HR and business initiatives, and take on additional projects that may evolve due to broader scope of responsibility changes. Handle additional tasks as assigned such as exit interviews, analyzing turnover data, or maintain employee files. Creating and managing a dashboard for tracking people metrics and delivering insights across the business based on data. Provide consultative support and guidance regarding complex problem solving to client group regarding matters of controversy, litigation, sensitive personnel matters and ensuring the fair and consistent application of policies and procedures across all functions/levels and in compliance with laws and company policies. Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, Business Management, or related field, and a minimum of 8 years professional experience with 5 years progressive experience in Human Resources, ideally as an HR Business Partner or in an HR Generalist role

 

The ideal candidate will also have:

Strong analytical abilities for data interpretation, trend identification, and using statistical methods Demonstrated ability to communicate in writing and verbally on complex or sensitive HR issues Experience leading projects with cross functional groups of employees Thorough knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures, and current employment laws Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, Success Factors, and SAP experience a plus Experience Preferred

Graduate degree and/or PHR/SPHR certification

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. May need to climb ladders.
