Commercial HVAC Technician
**Job Title: HVAC Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. This position involves working with HVAC/R systems in commercial settings, providing installation, maintenance, and repair services. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a thorough understanding of HVAC tools, materials, and best practices. **Responsibilities** + Repair, install, inspect, diagnose, and maintain all parts of HVAC systems. + Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints. + Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations applicable to HVAC. + Utilize HVAC tools and materials for operation, maintenance, and repair. + Independently troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues. + Communicate effectively with clients and team members. + Work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. + Participate in on-call rotation and be available for travel across state lines. **Essential Skills** + Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Thorough understanding of HVAC tools, materials, operation, maintenance, and repair. + Ability to repair, install, inspect, diagnose, and maintain all parts of HVAC systems. + Understanding of safe mechanical practices and relevant codes and regulations. + Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints. + Good communication skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent preferred. + NATE Certified, completed HVAC training, or 5-year service experience required. + Must have Universal EPA Certification. + Valid driver's license with no driving restrictions and an insurable driving record. + Ability to pass pre-employment, including MVR screening. **Why Work Here?** We offer full benefits and a company vehicle. You must be able to perform physical activities such as bending, crawling, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing, stretching, and leaning. Visual inspection of machines is necessary, and you must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds. Personal protective equipment must be worn/used. The job involves working in all weather conditions, and some weekends and night shifts may be required. You will be exposed to various smells, temperatures, noises, chemicals, and moving mechanical parts associated with HVAC systems, construction, and/or renovation. The work area covers from Chicago to the far north suburbs. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
