Overview
This position aids the Commercial Lines (CL) Department in the handling and processing of new and renewal business, claims and special projects.It will provide in-house customer service to clients, as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Gather renewal information and assist CL Team in completion of digitized applications for new and renewal business on designated accounts as directed.
+ Prepare binders, basic certificates, automobile insurance cards, account summaries, proposals, endorsements, lost policies releases, and account billing status for Commercial Insurance clients.
+ Request renewals, endorsements and other necessary information from Insurance companies.
+ Notify mortgagee/lienholders by certificate or policy when required.
+ Check new and renewal policies and endorsements for accuracy in rating and coverage’s by comparing new business applications, prior term renewals and endorsements, updating AMS as needed and billing, documenting any discrepancies.
+ Corresponds with clients and Insurance companies by phone, completing any requests or tasked items timely.
+ Maintain tasks on outstanding items, correspondence, audits, reports, reporting form coverages, and follow up on overdue items.
+ Assist in prompt review and billing of audits, notifying account team if the audit resulted in 25% or $2,000 (whichever is greater) increase/decrease.
+ Run agency bill invoices to be printed on a weekly basis.
+ Assist with Unbilled Report, Zero Premium Report and Expired Policies Report.
+ Assist with First Notice of Loss and Reporting Claims to carriers, setting up ImageRight for the Claim.
+ Process and mail letters/correspondence as requested.
+ Run and maintain the MVR/DMV logs.
+ Assist with Download Reports and TransactNOW.
+ Navigate carrier portals to pull all documents, loss runs and/or obtain information as needed.
+ Assist in handling and mailing of time sensitive documents (i.e. bonds).
+ Assist with projects as needed and at the discretion of the Commercial Insurance Management Team.
+ Be familiar with and follow agency E & O guidelines and the procedure manual.
+ Perform all additionally assigned duties as necessary.
+ Develop interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with internal and external personnel, and possess the ability to influence others.
+ Follow all agency policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
Qualifications
+ An Associate’s degree is preferred.
+ One (1) year experience in insurance is preferred.
+ Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multiple-task environment with a high-disruption rate.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. AMS-360 experience is desirable.
+ Resolve conflict with minimum negative impact on all parties.
+ Work independently, prioritize work in order to meet goals in all areas.
+ Must be a self-starter, with forward-thinking capabilities, and demonstrate good organizational skills.
+ Must be imaginative and creative with good verbal and written communication skills.
