As a Vice President in the Fixed Income - Rates Trading team, you will lead efforts to cover institutional accounts and make markets in rates products. You will manage risk, liquidity, and exposure, while overseeing all aspects of the trading desk. Your work will have a direct impact on the firm's success and the financial markets.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the understanding of market drivers and develop insights into cross-asset implications. Oversee and resolve P&L reconciliation issues, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Ensure all relevant parties are informed of key developments and provide strategic solutions. Balance revenue generation with building and maintaining a strong client franchise. Communicate market drivers effectively to clients and develop strategic trading tools. Uphold the firm's risk management policies and ensure regulatory compliance. Build and maintain trust with clients by understanding their needs and providing responsive service. Oversee the post-trade process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team. Play a key role in training and developing junior team members.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
7 years of experience in investment banking with a leadership track record. Deep understanding of P&L calculation and reconciliation. Proficiency in market and product terminology and quantitative frameworks. In-depth knowledge of transaction lifecycle costs. Expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies. Thorough understanding of market drivers and ability to anticipate market movements. Strong execution orientation and understanding of the transaction cycle. Ability to thrive under competitive pressures while maintaining a client-focused approach. Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
