SUMMARY:

The Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager is responsible for assisting Account Managers and Producers with the servicing of assigned accounts in accordance with the practices, policies, and procedures of the Company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares, reviews, and processes all transactions, correspondence, and documents, for assigned accounts, including but not limited to the following:applicationsbillingpoliciescertificates and evidences of insuranceendorsementsinvoicesproposals for new and renewal accountschange requestsauditsannual reviewsbinderscancellationssetting up new/renewal client electronic filesParticipates in the renewal preparation process, including generating renewal updates on accounts specified by the Account Manager and/or ProducerProvides quality customer service to clients, team members, and carriersCommunicates with company personnel regarding the client’s needs and/or issuesMaintains an accurate suspense system on all items that require a responseNavigates and utilizes carrier websites to obtain documents and/or information as neededMay fields phone calls from insureds regarding questions about their coverage, changes, additions, payments, cancellations etc.Responsible for scanning communications and documentsInput/maintain data on account management system and ancillary systems as requiredProvide mailroom and switchboard support, when neededOther reasonable duties as assigned by your supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

At least one year of insurance experience strongly preferredHigh School diploma or equivalentAbility to obtain state insurance license P&C within 90 days of employmentExceptional written and verbal communication skillsSuperior customer service and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)Detail-oriented self-starterAbility to work in a team environmentSignificant skill in handling competing demands and projectsExcellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and delegate responsibility

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Negligible

Required Education: High school or equivalent
