Job Summary:
The Associate Account Manager is responsible for assisting the Account Managers (2-3) with
service needs on Commercial Middle Market Accounts consisting of both new and renewal business, with a positive attitude. Specific service responsibilities are assigned per guidelines, procedures, quality and service standards as stated by the agency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support Account Managers by processing Certificates of Liability Insurance and Evidences of Property Insurance, requesting policy changes, processing endorsements and audits, requesting invoices from the invoicing team, requesting carrier loss runs, and answering questions and concerns of the client.
Respond to Account Manager requests in a timely manner to avoid potential E&O issues.
Provide service and support to Account Managers on existing accounts and assist them in their delivery of commitments to clients.
Prepare Summaries of Insurance, Premium & Loss Summaries and assist with preparation of Coverage Proposals at the direction of the Account Manager.
Maintain client accounts on agency management system (EPIC), document conversations with underwriters and/or insureds, properly attaches documents to EPIC, sends confirmations to insureds and adheres to all other automation procedures that are or become established. Maintains follow-up and suspense system for outstanding orders and correspondence, follows-up on overdue and suspense items. Responds to carrier requests for additional information in a timely manner.
Participate in monthly team renewal meetings with Producer and Account Manager(s)
Participate in weekly team meetings with Producer and Account Manager(s)
Other Responsibilities:
Participate in seminars and other training for knowledge and skill development.
Provide backup in other areas as assigned by Account Managers, with Management approval.
Perform other duties and special projects at Management’s request.
Help develop efficiencies in automation and paper flow.
Keep Account Managers fully informed of important activities on all accounts and up-to-date regarding status of VIP accounts.
Stay abreast of trends, products, pricing and competitive markets, have working knowledge of all agency and company changes procedures.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
2-20 or 4-40 Florida Insurance License required
Epic experience strongly preferred; or other agency management system accepted
Proven Commercial Property & Casualty Client Service experience required
Effective communication, both written and verbal
