Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their growing Chicago office. This is a unique opportunity to work with an experienced and dynamic group of trial attorneys representing clients across various industries, including energy, aerospace, life sciences, and technology.
Candidate Profile: JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record. Admission to and good standing with the Illinois Bar. 1–6 years of substantive experience in commercial litigation, product liability, or other complex litigation matters. Strong experience in drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and managing document productions. A strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to lead case management efforts and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, with strong attention to detail and legal analysis. Key Responsibilities: Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, including product liability, trade secrets, securities, and bankruptcy disputes. Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and briefs in high-stakes litigation matters. Take and defend depositions and argue discovery and dispositive motions in both state and federal courts. Manage case strategy and client communication, ensuring top-tier legal representation. Work closely with senior litigators on trial preparation, mediation, and arbitration strategies. Provide legal counsel to clients across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and technology. The firm offers competitive compensation for this role, with a salary ranging from $200,000 to $295,000 annually, along with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses.
