Commercial Loan Officer
About The Role First Community Bank Utah isseeking a highly motivated Commercial Lender with business lending experience in the Park City / Heber City area. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with proven sales experience to analyze loan requests and make strategic decisions on credit and lending needs to achieve customer satisfaction, while always adhering to policies and practices. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in commercial business development activities Interview business loan applicants to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial conditions Analyze current financial position of customers to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money Make decisions to approve, disapprove, or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision Explain loan programs to customers, evaluates their needs and recommends loan options Establish the terms and conditions for a loan approval and reviews them with the customer Prepare and/or review all loan documents for completion and accuracy and closing loan transactions Follow current loans to ensure compliance with terms and coordinates with collections Stay informed of current trends in business credits Other duties as assigned ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to: the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Adhere to the FCBU Bank Values and Purpose Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect towards external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel). Professionally answer phones within a timely manner, greeting all customers, learning their names, discussing reasonable solutions by having a solid understanding of bank products and services, demonstrating leadership to resolve customer issues and provide relevant assistance while being courteous and respectful. Represent FCBU in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive “can-do” attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain highest integrity of sensitive information. Attends and participates in weekly or bi-weekly One-on-Ones, as well as meetings and trainings as required. Promote behaviors to support and track Key Performance Indicators About You QUALIFICATIONS: Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in a preparatory positions A Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with an emphasis on Financial or Accounting or equivalent of education and experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in-person contact with customers. Knowledge fo company loan services, policies, and procedures Understanding of related legal and regulatory standards and required loan documentation Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word Storng customer service and interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and decision making skills Strong negotiation skills Professionalism: Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others; work to develop and maintain cooperative and positive working relationships; represent the bank in a positive manner; maintain credibility with others Ethical Behavior: Model high standard of honesty, integrity, trust, and openness. SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00pm WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work primarily in an office environment. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this position include lifting and or moving up-to 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
